Caritas in Veritate
This rather, is the fasting that I wish…Sharing your bread with the hungry, sheltering the oppressed and the homeless, clothing the naked when you see them, and not turning your back on your own. Isaiah 58: 6-7
The Caritas in Veritate (Charity in Truth) Service Learning Program offers students the opportunity to perform spiritual and corporal works of mercy, “which are charitable actions by which we come to the aid of our neighbor in his spiritual and bodily necessities” (CCC2447). Through this program, students are encouraged to be active members of our community and understand the importance of being the face of Jesus through their daily works and prayer. In addition to the grade level programs noted below, eighth grade students are required to complete 10 service hours per school year.
